On March 24, 2022, the USPS released the Tulips Forever stamp in Mount Vernon, Washington. This stamp features a luminous, almost ethereal assortment of overlapping tulips in red, orange, yellow, purple, and white against a bright white background. The image was created by photographer Harold Davis, who backlit a wide, horizontal arrangement of flowers on a light box, capturing multiple exposures and digitally combining them to form the final image. The stamp was designed by art director Ethel Kessler.
The Tulips stamp is suitable for various occasions, including regular correspondence, party invitations, thank-you notes, and important announcements. It complements the Sunflower Bouquet 2-ounce stamp, also issued in 2022.
Design: Digital photograph of overlapping tulips in various colors
