Official Background
On February 21, 2020, the USPS released the Wild Orchids Forever stamps in Coral Gables, Florida, at the American Orchid Society Library at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. These stamps celebrate the exotic beauty of orchids native to the United States. Each stamp features a photograph of one of nine orchid species that grow wild in the U.S., showcasing their unique forms and vibrant colors.
The photographs were taken by Jim Fowler, a nature photographer and stamp collector. Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamps.
