🎃 Design and Artistic Background
This set marked the USPS’s first Halloween-themed stamps, featuring four different photographs of creatively carved jack-o’-lanterns. The pumpkins were carved by Paul Montanari and photographed by Sally Andersen-Bruce. The stamps were designed by art director Derry Noyes.
The jack-o’-lanterns depicted on the stamps showcase various expressive faces, capturing the festive and eerie spirit of Halloween.
