2019 “Frogs” Forever Stamps 100pcs

On July 9, 2019, the USPS released the Frogs Forever stamps in Boise, Idaho, at the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center. These stamps celebrate four North American frog species, highlighting their ecological significance and diverse habitats.

The stamps feature digital illustrations of the following frogs:​

• Pacific Tree Frog (Pseudacris regilla) – Known for its distinctive “ribbit” call, often used in Hollywood soundtracks.

• Northern Leopard Frog (Rana pipiens) – Recognized by its green color with black spots and a unique snoring-like call.

• American Green Tree Frog (Hyla cinerea) – Common in the southeastern U.S., known for its bright green color and nocturnal calls.

• Squirrel Tree Frog (Hyla squirella) – Found in the southeastern U.S., notable for its varied coloration and raspy call.​

Artist Nancy Stahl used a primarily green color palette with touches of brown to capture the essence of each frog, emphasizing their unique features. Art director William J. Gicker oversaw the stamp design.
