The 2011 “Neon Celebrate!” Forever Stamp was issued by the United States Postal Service (USPS) on March 25, 2011, in Cleveland, Ohio, during the Garfield-Perry Stamp Show. This stamp was designed to commemorate joyful occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

🎨 Design and Artistic Inspiration

The stamp features the word “Celebrate!” in vibrant neon-style lettering, surrounded by colorful swirls and bursts reminiscent of fireworks against a black background. This design was inspired by Art Director Phil Jordan’s visit to the Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles. He collaborated with neon artist Michael Flechtner, who created the original artwork using actual neon tubing, making this the first U.S. postage stamp to feature neon art.
